Instead of respecting the health decisions of women, elected officials are focusing on passing HB 147 (Ultrasound Bill), a restrictive anti- choice that creates undue barriers for Georgia women.

HB 147 requires a woman be offered the opportunity to view an ultrasound and listen to the fetal heart sounds before terminating a pregnancy.

The true intent of this bill is to discourage and intimidate women into not having an abortion.

Further, HB 147 requires licensed physicians to provide a list to women of unsupervised 'fake' health care clinics that offer free ultrasounds.

The majority of these facilities are anti-abortion "crisis pregnancy centers" whose politically motivated goal is to deter women from choosing abortion by offering misleading and false information.
