Wire Hanger State Update

Update:
The South Dakota Campaign for Healthy Families -- a coalition of opponents of South Dakota's abortion ban (HB 1215), -- said they have collected more than 10,000 signatures on a petition to include the law on a statewide ballot in November, Reuters/Washington Post reports.
The petition must have 16,728 signatures from state residents to qualify for the ballot.
The group must collect the signatures by June 19 to place a hold on the law -- which is scheduled to take effect July 1 -- pending the outcome of the referendum.
The coalition has hundreds of volunteers, and I, as well as the pro-choice community applauds their tireless efforts to repeal this atrocious law.
