Washington State pharmacy regulators might be overruled or removed if they allow pharmacists to refuse because of their moral beliefs to fill prescriptions for certain medications, Gov. Christine Gregoire (D) said Monday, the AP/KOMOTV reports.
Premenopausal black women are more than twice as likely as white women or postmenopausal black women to develop a more aggressive, "basal-like" subtype of breast cancer with genetic traits that make it difficult to treat, according to a study published in the June 7 edition of the Journal of the American Medical Association, the Long Island Newsday reports. The findings also show that the mortality rate of black women who develop breast cancer, particularly under age 50, is 11 deaths per 100,000 women, compared with 6.3 per 100,000 for white women, the Times reports.

In 33 states, there are still some exemptions given to husbands from rape prosecution. When his wife is most vulnerable (she is mentally or physically impaired, unconscious, asleep, etc.) and is unable to consent, a husband is exempt from prosecution in many of these 33 states. Source.

Macy's Downtown Crossing store in Boston displayed two mannequins in its window--two male figures, with one wearing a gay pride flag wrapped around his waist. Members of Mass Resistance (formerly Article 8 Alliance), a known organization of haters, bigots and hypocrites, objected to the display and you guessed it...Macy's took it in the ass and caved.
