Women beaten at protest
About 100 women had gathered in central Teheran, Iran on Monday to protest against what they called the Islamic Republic’s discriminatory laws against women.
Some men joined them at the gathering, which the judiciary said was “illegal”. The men were arrested.
The women were brutally beaten and perhaps hundreds were arrested by the police.
It was such a horrific sight that there were even male bystanders screaming at the police to stop attacking the women, with one guy yelling, “Why do you take money from the government to beat women like this?”
Fun times had by all.
