Racist, Sexist Imus has been fired.

Sheila Johnson, owner of the WNBA’s Washington Mystics and, with her ex-husband Robert, co-founder of BET, called Imus’ comments reprehensible in an interview with The Associated Press.

“I think what Imus has done has put a cloud over what we’ve tried to do in promoting women’s athletics,” she said.

No shit. Like I said. Women are judged differently than men. No commentator has ever remarked about men's hair in a fashion that detracts from their capabilities or achievements. Women's sports are still second class, something women's groups have been fighting against since forever. Ever notice how small the funding is for women's sports in college? Damn, the United States would crumble if men's football teams received the same funding.

“It’s not about taking Imus down,” Al Sharpton said. “It’s about lifting decency up.”
